Hi, I’m Indi, an artist living in a small town nestled in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California, where the days are sun-soaked, the nights are quiet, and the veil between worlds sometimes feels thin. I make paintings that act like portals ~ bright, layered, symbolic works that live somewhere between myth and memory. Rooted in intuition and charged with color, my art invites viewers into dreamlike spaces that are colorful, strange, and just a bit otherworldly.

Greatly influenced by Marc Chagall, my work is recognizable for its bright, bold, and vivid colors. Using acrylic paints for their versatility and depth, I apply them in thick, delicious layers and as wet, dripping cascades spilling down the canvas. My style is also rooted in the intuitive painting process, which allows each brush stroke, each color, each movement to be the means through which an inner-knowing guides my paintings toward their final form.

My paintings invite you to explore your own imagination, to dream, expand, and ponder the great mystery of life. They are more than décor for your home and are not here to blend in or match your couch. They wake you up and remind you that this mysterious and weird beauty can be a threshold. That wonder can be a form of resistance. That imagination is a tool for dreaming a new and better world into being.

At heart, I believe in the power of beauty to disrupt despair. In a world that feels heavy with uncertainty, I offer my art as a quiet rebellion, a way to imagine something more just, more compassionate, and more alive. It's an invitation to seek, to question, to inspire you to explore your own dreams. My art can be a healing journey where you're given permission to engage, to feel whole, and to believe in possibility.

Exhibiting my art since 2012, I've participated in both solo and group shows throughout northern California. As part of the Tokyo International Art Fair in 2016, I was thrilled to return as an artist to where I lived and worked in my early twenties. Dedicated to continually expanding my artistic practice I became a Master Facilitator of Intuitive Painting & the Expressive Arts in 2024. My art has found homes throughout California and the west coast but has also made its way across the United States and beyond, to London, Germany, and Japan. Nowadays you can find my art at Blue Line Arts in Roseville and other regional and Northern California art exhibits.

When I’m not in the studio you can find me studying Spanish, traveling and exploring new places, and indulging in delicious meals with friends and family. Born and raised in Los Angeles I grew up surrounded by the great diversity of how we can do life on this planet. After spending much of my twenties living and working in other countries, I continue to be on the lookout for chances to travel in order to reflect on, grow, and learn from others so that I can contribute to creating a better world. This interconnectedness we have with each other is what makes life so incredibly fulfilling.
