Hello I’m Indi, an artist based in a small town tucked into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in northern California. My art encourages you to ponder the complexity, interconnectedness, and beauty of life through vivid colors and whimsical images, while inviting you to embrace a sense of play and discovery.
Greatly influenced by Marc Chagall, my work is recognizable for its bright, bold, and vivid colors. Using acrylic paints for their versatility and depth, I apply them in thick, delicious layers or as wet, dripping cascades spilling down the canvas. My style is also rooted in the intuitive painting process, which allows each brush stroke, each color, each movement to be the means through which an inner-knowing guides my paintings toward their final form. My paintings invite you to explore your own imagination, to dream, expand, and ponder the great mystery of life.
The purpose of my art is to remind you of the beauty and interconnection of all things ~ that we are nature and not separate from it. By engaging in the remembering of this relationship, my art also helps you to quiet the inner voices and listen for and lean into the profound wisdom of the Earth and its many creatures.
Through my paintings you can travel down to the center of a spiral where a portal awaits, transporting you to another time and dimension, embarking on a mystical and transformative adventure where there's much more to this world than meets the eye. Mysterious and otherworldly figures emerge from layer upon layer of paint blurring the line between reality and myth, evoking a magic that feels real and a reality that feels magical. They let you transcend time, and the past, present and future become one, for a moment you are free from the constraints of space, matter, and time.

Exhibiting my art since 2012, I've participated in both solo and group shows throughout northern California. As part of the Tokyo International Art Fair in 2016, I was thrilled to return as an artist to where I lived and worked in my early twenties. Dedicated to continually expanding my artistic practice I became a Master Facilitator of Intuitive Painting & the Expressive Arts in 2024. My art has found homes throughout California and the west coast but has also made its way across the United States and beyond, to London, Germany, and Japan. Nowadays you can find my art at Gallery 10 in Sutter Creek and at Blue Line Arts in Roseville.

When I’m not in the studio you can find me studying Spanish, traveling and exploring new places, and indulging in delicious meals with friends and family. Born and raised in Los Angeles I grew up surrounded by the great diversity of how we can do life on this planet. Then, after spending much of my twenties living and working in other countries, I continue to be on the lookout for chances to travel in order to reflect on, grow, and learn from others so that I can contribute to creating a better world. This interconnectedness we have with each other is what makes life so incredibly fulfilling.
